DR. C.J. SMITH D.C., CFMP, PAK
ABOUT ME
Dr. Smith earned his doctorate in chiropractic as a graduate at Life University in Marietta, GA at the young age of 24. He has held a license to practice in the state of Georgia and Florida. Dr. Smith also acquired his National Board Certification in P.T. (Physiological Therapeutics) from Life University's Department of Sport Health Sciences. He is also board certified for Physiological Therapeutics by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Undergraduate studies were performed at Life University in Marietta, GA where he minored in nutrition and biology as well as at Excelsior University in Albany, NY where he attained his BS in Biological and Sports Health Science. He is currently one of only 8 practitioners in the state of Georgia who holds the CFMP (Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner) from Functional Medicine University. Dr. Smith has additional areas of study in Functional and Diagnostic medicine and has over 200 hours accredited to him from Southern California University of Health Sciences.
SPECIALIZATIONS
Dr. Smith most recently earned his Professional Applied Kinesiologist certification from the International Board of Applied Kinesiology in 2016. He is currently a scholar enrollee of the Carrick Institute of Clinical Neuroscience where he is working on his Diplomate in Functional Neurology. He is also currently enrolled in the extensive 22 module 400+ hour Cogence Functional Immunology Program.
The magnitude of dynamic chiropractic, functional medicine, functional neurology, functional immunology, clinical nutrition, and rehab techniques practiced by Dr. Smith, are designed to help patients achieve their own maximum potential as quickly and safely as possible. Some the techniques that Dr. Smith is proficient in include: Applied Kinesiology, SOT, Full Spine, Diversified, Extremity Adjusting, Thompson, Activator, Clinical Biomechanics of Posture (CBP) and COX Flexion Distraction
Dr. Smith was the 2008 WHS (Woodstock High School) Football Team Chiropractor. He has lived in the Blue Ridge area off and on for the last 14 years and has returned from directing a large chiropractic clinic in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. He has been practicing for over 10 years and is back in Georgia for good to run his own clinic North Georgia Center for the Healing Arts.Of special interest to Dr. Smith are helping complicated cases that conventional medical physicians are not able to help with western medicine practices. He strives to be the doctor that fixes people that others cannot.
In his spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys many activities such as snowboarding, surfing, scuba diving, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wakeboarding, football, archery, fishing, mountain biking, motorcycles and golf.
